Development
Development on the fourth MCU Spider-Man film began in 2019, with producer Amy Pascal confirming plans for a new trilogy starring Tom Holland. Story development started in late 2021, with Holland taking a more active role in shaping the project. Returning writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers joined the project in 2023, while Destin Daniel Cretton signed on as director in 2024.
The title "Brand New Day" is inspired by the 2008 Marvel Comics storyline that introduced a fresh beginning for Spider-Man. The creative team aimed to present Peter Parker as an independent, street-level hero focused on protecting New York City.
Filming took place between August and December 2025, with locations including Glasgow, Scotland, various sites across England, and Pinewood Studios.
